Qatar Airways was founded on November 22, 1993. Operations began on January 20, 1994. Amman was first visited in May 1994. The airline’s C.E.O., Sheikh Hamad bin Ali Bin Jabor Al Thani, employed 75 people. The fleet consisted only of two Airbus A310s, which served a network that included Abu Dhabi, Bangkok, Cairo, Dubai, Khartoum, and Kuwait. London, Madras Manila, Muscat. Osaka. Sharjah. Taipei. Tokyo. Boeing purchased two ex-All Nippon Airways Boeing747s in 1995. In 1996, the airline purchased a second-hand Boeing 747SP aircraft from Air Mauritius.
In late 1996, services to Athens and Istanbul, Madras, and Tunis were suspended. Calcutta, Muscat, and Madras were also removed from the route network. 1997 saw the launch of flights to London. Two second-hand Airbus A300-600R 231-seater aircraft were also purchased by the airline from Ansett Worldwide Aircraft Services. They replaced two Boeing 747s. They returned two Boeing 747s. The carrier placed a firm order for six Airbus A320s with Airbus in July 1998. They were due to be delivered between 2001 and 2005. The airline also had options to purchase five additional aircraft of the same type.

Overview of Qatar Airways
Qatar Airways Company Q.C.S.C. Qatar Airways Company Q.C.S.C. is Qatar’s state-owned flag carrier. The airline is headquartered in Doha’s Qatar Airways Tower. It operated a hub and spoke network linking more than 150 destinations worldwide, including Africa, Asia, Europe, and Oceania. A fleet of over 200 aircraft is used to transport passengers. In 2001, Qatar Airways became the Airbus A380’s ninth customer. Two aircraft of the type were also ordered. The airline also resumed service to Jakarta that year. The government of Qatar resigned from Gulf Air in 2002.
A Qatar Airways Airbus A320, which flew the Doha–Basra route in June 2003, was the first aircraft to resume international service to Iraq. In June 2003, Qatar Airways also incorporated its first cargo aircraft into its fleet. An Airbus A300 600R was purchased and converted into a freighter in Germany. It cost US$10,000,000. The carrier also placed an order for Airbus worth US$5.1 billion at the Paris Air Show in June 2003. It was for two Airbus A321s and 14 Airbus A330s.
Destination

Economy Class

Airport Check In
All customers who have a confirmed booking can use this service. Have the passport(s) and Privilege Club card(s) of the passengers at hand as you check in because you may need to enter Advance Passenger Information (APIS). After checking in online, print your boarding pass, send it to your mobile phone, or to your email. Qatar Airways recommends you check-in three hours before your departure time. The check-in counter closes one hour before departure, and the boarding gates close 20 minutes before departure. These times may vary depending on your departure airport. Ownership
The Qatari government has 100% ownership of the company as of May 2014. Qatar Airways is now wholly owned by the government after purchasing a 50% share from an ex-foreign minister and other shareholders. The Qatar Airways Group employed over 45,000 people in March 2019, with 32,000 of them working directly for the airline. Qatar Airways, which holds 25.1% of International Airlines Group’s shares, is the largest shareholder of International Airlines Group (I.A.G.).
First class
Qatar Airways’ first-class passengers have 6.5 feet of legroom. They also have flatbeds with feather duvets and foldable seats. First-class seats come with entertainment systems and massage functions. Only available on A380s, First-class seats have a 90-inch pitch and can be transformed into a flatbed. There is also a wide range of entertainment options on 26-inch television screens. It can be configured as 1-2-1. All new Airbus A350s and Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft will be in a standard 2-class configuration.
Business Class
Qatar Airways offers it’s business class passengers flat horizontal beds in a 1-2-1 configuration. This is available onboard the Airbus A380 and A350 aircraft and the Boeing 777 and Boeing 787 aircraft. Business-class seats on long- and medium-haul planes are available in a 2-2-2 configuration. These flatbed seats have a 180-degree recline and include massage functions. Qatar Airways introduced new business class seats aboard its recently delivered A320 aircraft.
Each center has I.F.E. seat-back PTVs. It will be installing the new headquarters on each A320 aircraft and retrofitting 4 A321LR aircraft. Qsuite has single seats at the windows, with the middle section of the suites being convertible into a quad room that allows four passengers to meet in a dining-room-like setting.
Economy class
In the Skytrax Awards 2009 and 2010, Qatar Airways’ economy class was voted the best in the world. Qatar Airways offers economy passengers a seat pitch up to 34 inches. Individual T.V. screens are available for economy class passengers on A330 aircraft. Airbus A350, A380, and Boeing 777 aircraft passengers are provided with touch-screen I.F.E. monitors. Qatar Airways has received several A320 family aircraft with personal T.V.s in each seat of the economy class. The I.F.E. has the same Thales entertainment system that is used in the widebody fleet. In-flight entertainment
Oryx One is Qatar Airways’ inflight entertainment system. All aircraft are equipped with personal seat-back infotainment screens, except for a few Airbus A320 family planes. Airbus A320 family planes are fitted with main screen entertainment. Qatar is upgrading Airbus A320 family aircraft with seat-back A.V.O.D. Qatar Airways offers Onboard Connectivity WiFi. This allows passengers to send SMS, M.M.S., and access email. This service is available on all A380s, A350s, B777s, B787s, A319, and selected A320, A321, and A330 aircraft.
