 Overview of Pakistan Airlines

PIA, Pakistan’s biggest airline, operates a fleet that includes more than 30 aircraft. It operates close to 100 flights per day, serving 18 domestic destinations and 25 international destinations in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. PIA also has commercial flight operations. The Roosevelt Hotel in New York City and the Sofitel Paris Scribe Hotel are two examples of PIA’s property. The airline has a frequent flier program called PIA Awards + and several codeshares and interline agreements. It is not part of any airline alliance.

PIA was prohibited from flying in European airspace starting July 1, 2020. This ban came after EASA had completed its inspections. It was determined that the airline was incapable of certifying or supervising. The operators and aircraft were required to comply with international standards. After it became clear that at least one-third of Pakistan’s pilot licenses were fraudulent, this decision was taken. The United Kingdom and the United States had also banned the airline by July 9, 2020.

• 115 cm (55x38x22 cm) or 45 linear inches (22x14x9in) with handles and wheels
• Place your items in the overhead bin or under the seat in front.
• The following weight and size restrictions should be adhered to when purchasing personal items:
• 90 cm (43 x 25×22 cm or 36 linear inches)

• Jacket, umbrella, diaper bag, and duty-free items (wheelchairs/walkers, crutches, strollers or child restraint seat, etc.) are not allowed. These items do not count towards your carry-on allowance.

Infants

Infants are allowed to carry 10kg in one piece in the economy or business class.

Hand carry is restricted to 7 kg per bag. You may bring your camera, Ipad, laptop, or another similar device along with your 7 kg allowance.

Codeshare Flights: A codeshare flight refers to a commercial flight operated by one airline but is marketed by another. By the allowances of the operating carrier, a free baggage allowance will be given.

Pakistan Airlines Online Check-In

PIA passengers wanting to check-in online should see and then entering their PNR or booking reference and your surname. Web check-in is available from 24 hours before your flight up until six hours before. This is only for flights traveling between Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore.

Airport Check-In

For passengers wishing to check-in at the airport instead of online, or for passengers traveling a route that is not yet available for online check-in, they must report at the airport check-in desks. PIA recommends that passengers traveling domestically within Pakistan should arrive at the airport 2 hours before flights. For international flights, they recommend passengers arrive 4 hours before their scheduled flight arrival time.
